The old centre in ten stops, a terrace whenever you like.
You start at the Hof and walk the old centre at your own pace. The app shows the way, and at every stop a game is waiting that belongs to that spot.

- A story through the city At every stop the story carries on and you hear something worth knowing about the place. You find the next one on the city map or with the compass, and stop for a drink wherever you like.
- An old map, torn into pieces At every stop you find a piece of an old linen map of Amersfoort. Piece by piece it comes back together.
- A market stall of your own After every game you pick a reward for your own stall. All the stalls stand together on the team’s market, so everyone sees what the others are collecting.

How does the scoring work? A score of your own
Everyone plays for their own score: after each game you see who’s on top, and at the end the result is on the leaderboard.
Coming with more than one team? Pick "Extra teams" when you book and tick the box beside it, so the teams play in one shared lobby — then you also see how the other teams are doing along the way. You pay per team rather than per person: ten of you can be one team, or two teams of five.
Do we need to be good at games? Anyone can join in
Anyone can join in straight away: the app explains each game before you start. You estimate, draw and guess, so nobody has to be good at anything.
Is there time for a drink on a terrace? As long as you like
Yes. Pause whenever you like and carry on whenever you like: the app waits, and your code stays valid. With a terrace along the way, count on about two hours (or longer if you are having a good time ;).
Scavenger hunt or city walk? A bit of both
A bit of both. You walk a route of about 2 km through the old centre, so you see as much of the city as you would on a walking tour. Only there is a game waiting at every stop, and that is what makes it a hunt: you are searching, drawing, guessing and estimating together instead of trailing after a guide.
City game is another name you will hear, and that is fair. What it is not is a puzzle trail or a city escape game: there you solve riddles together, here every stop has a game that everyone joins in on.
Two of you? Eight of you? Either
The games are made to work as well with two players as with twenty. Playing on your own works too, though it isn’t what the tour was built for — the games turn on what happens between you. With small teams, some games add attempts from other players so the guessing doesn’t get too easy.
Also for a stag do, hen do or birthday? Yes, in teams
It does. Pick "Extra teams" when you book, say how many teams you are coming with, and let them compete in one shared lobby.
One thing up front so nobody expects the wrong afternoon: there are no dares in it and nobody has to make a fool of themselves. It is a route with ten games, no embarrassing tasks!
How long does it take? 1.5–2 hours
The route is about 2 km, with ten stops. You can do it all in an hour and a half; with a terrace along the way it is closer to two.
A phone each? Can, need not
They can, but they don’t have to. Several players on one phone works too: you pass it around during the games, and that way everyone plays every game.
Which language is the tour in? English
The whole tour is in English: the story, the narration, the fun facts and the games. The app also runs in Dutch, German and French, and the choice is per phone, so you and your Dutch friends play in one team, each in your own language.
What if it rains? Pause or move it
Ugh, annoying. But we won’t melt, will we? Joking aside: you can always pause the tour and take shelter for a bit. Or, if you’re still at home, simply decide to go another day.
Need internet? No, not required
Once the tour is downloaded in the app, it works entirely without internet. The only thing you cannot do without internet is see the other players’ scores. You can also set up a hotspot so the other phones get online through yours.
Data usage is low: count on roughly 2 MB per tour per phone.
